Membership
Membership is open to OHHP - Taking Action for Healthy Living coordinators, community partners and others interested in staying connected to the OHHP Community Partnerships.
Strategic Plan
A strategic plan was completed in the fall of 2007. Our goals are:
A. To develop the Ontario Heart Health Network as a progressive, strategic network of partner organizations and volunteers involved in the OHHP-Taking Action for Healthy Living
B. To promote the OHHP– Taking Action for Healthy Living as a leading model for coordinating and mobilizing community partners around healthy living and chronic disease prevention in Ontario.
C. To promote the Ontario Heart Health Network as a credible stakeholder on the provincial healthy living and chronic disease prevention stage.
D. Increase (awareness) of human and other resource issues within the OHHP-Taking Action for Healthy Living.

Executive Committee and Regional Networks
Six regional networks provide opportunities for Community Partnerships to support each other, plan joint/regional activities and share information. The regions are:
- North West
- North East,
- South West,
- Central West,
- Central East,
- Eastern.
The OHHN Executive provides leadership and represents the network on provincial committees working on chronic disease prevention strategies. The Executive is made up of representatives from the six regional networks, and various members at large. Provincial Network Meetings The Ontario Heart Health Network plans 2-3 face to face meetings each year. It is an opportunity for coordinators and their community partners to share success stories, learn from each other and plan network activities for the upcoming year. Learn more…
Heart Health Resource Centre
Heart Health Resource CentreThe Heart Health Resource Centre is a member of the OHHN, and acts as secretariat, provides annual funding, and coordinates logistics for the Provincial meetings. For more information on services provided by the HHRC visit http://www.hhrc.net/.
